Windows 7 x64  network connectivity problems.
Hi, I have a strange connection problem. Connection to my network drops without any error/notice, win7 still thinks that I am connected but I cannot connect to a network device or the internet. The only soloution thus far is to "disconnect and reconnect" and the problem goes away. This problem does NOT happen on my Vista 32/64 and XP 32 PC or PS3/Xbox360 ONLY this Windows 7 x64 PC. (Worked fine before I formatted and installed Win7) I am using a Linksys WUSB600N version2 adapter and Linksys WAG160N gateway. Currently using Driver - 3.0.1.0.1 from Linksys. I have tried; 3.0.1.0 from MS update. 3.0.1.0.1 from Linksys. 2.3.4.0 from Linksys. Default diver from Windows 7 install. *Note- Linksys no-longer lists any Win7 drivers for my adapter on their website. All of these drivers have the eact same problem. *Note- This is a clean install of Win7 x64 *Note2- This diddn't happen with Vista x64 SP2 Any help is much appreciated. ~Spartan

Try thisThe solution (from what I found)is to download and install the Ralink drivers (having already installed the Linksys drivers). 1) Firstly make sure you have manually installed the Linksys drivers via Device Manager, then unplug the WUSB600N. 2) Download the "USB (RT2870 /RT2770 /RT307X /RT2070 /RT3572)" driver, which is the first item in the list on this page:http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php - the Ralink site was extremely slow for me but it did eventually download. 3) Run the installer, selecting "Driver only" when prompted. 4) Let the installation complete, then insert your WUSB600N. It should install and show up as a new wireless connection.Let us know how that works out for you.MCSE, MCSA, MCDST
